In the year of 1982, society” The Green Park Cooperative House Building Society Ltd. Bathinda” was established with 44 members and a land of 5 acres was purchased for building the houses for its members But in 1988-89, the whole land was acquired by the State Govt, for providing the offices/ houses for ITBP force. Two members withdrew their names from the society and opted for receiving the share of compensation at their own leaving the strength of members as 42. The bank account of the society is being operated in the Central COOPERATIVE Bank Civil LINES Bathinda. Due to wrong calculations in the compensation sheets by the ITBP, the Society lodged A COURT CASE in the Hon\ble court of Bathinda and the Learned ADJ DECLARED THE DECISION IN FAVOUR OF THE SOCIETY AND DIRECTED THE ITBP TO DEPOSIT THE AMOUNT with the society. The Central Govt. instead of depositing the amount went to the Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh and lodged the Civil Revision in the year 2016 ,which is still in process.
